We recommend you wait to book flights to Scandinavia, and other parts of your travels, until we can confirm your desired travel dates for this tour. This is due to varying availabilities aboard Norway cruises, as included in this package. Contact us for more details.

YOUR PRE-TOUR IN OSLO, TRONDHEIM & THE HURTIGRUTEN CRUISE
On this tour, you will get all the exciting adventures of the Wonders of the Norwegian Fjords tour plus the chance to explore the beautiful cities of Oslo andTrondheim and board a Hurtigruten coastal voyage all at your own pace. The pre-tour in Oslo, including the journey to Trondheim and the Hurtigruten cruise, is not part of the guided small group tour, it is a self-guided tour. While your accommodations in Oslo and Trondheim, including the railway journey to Trondheim and cruise tickets (as specified in the itinerary) will be pre-booked by Nordic Visitor, travellers are ultimately responsible for their own time during the first few days of the trip. You will meet your tour guide and group on day six at the welcome meeting in Bergen.
ACCOMMODATION
On your guided group tour, you’ll stay in accommodation that’s been hand-picked by our Norway travel experts. We’ve partnered with local businesses and selected hotels and guesthouses based on excellent ratings, comfort and our personal experience.
You can view the detailed list of hotels for this trip under the accommodation tab.
During the booking steps, you can choose a single or double room. Triple rooms are not available for this tour. If your group contains 3 or more people, please contact us for booking assistance.
HURTIGRUTEN CRUISE LINE
The cruise includes cabin accommodation (unspecified cabin with windows/port holes) with private facilities, and breakfast is included. All ships have restaurants, a cafeteria, laundry room, WIFI and on-board activities. The Hurtigruten coastal voyages differ from conventional cruises. There are 11 different ships that vary in size and age that sail the Norwegian coast on different dates. Optional shore excursions are available, and we stongly recommend that you pre-book all excursions. We are unable to offer guaranteed cabin numbers for port-to-port calls and short voyages (less than 5 nights). You can disembark at ports where the stop is scheduled for more than 15 minutes.
YOUR NORDIC VISITOR GUIDE
Our team of local expert guides at Nordic Visitor are highly recommended by our travellers and staff with years of experience. What they offer is local knowledge, love for their country, their stories, favourite places and sites where travellers, on their own, would not hear about or visit. They always have some trick up their sleeves and hidden gems to surprise our clients and therefore we recommend that you join our guided small group tours to get a personal experience for your Norwegian adventure. There will be one guide per tour. As an expert on Norway, the guide is also a valuable resource for questions about local customs, language, shopping, food and other practical travel information.
LUGGAGE INFORMATION
To ensure comfortable seating for everyone on our tour, we need to limit the size and amount of luggage. We request that you leave non-essential luggage at the hotel in Bergen and to only keep with you, daily essentials like camera, wallet, medication and other essentials. Please contact your Nordic Visitor travel consultant if you have any questions about luggage.
To ensure comfortable seating for everyone on our tour, we need to limit the size and amount of luggage on the van. Each guest is allowed one suitcase or large bag that can be stored in the back of the van and one smaller item (e.g., a small backpack or daypack) to keep inside the van for daily essentials like camera, wallet, medication and other essentials. Unfortunately carry-on suitcases (cabin bags) are too large to store inside the van in the overhead racks. If you have any questions about luggage, your Nordic Visitor travel consultant will be able to assist you.
