Below you’ll find answers to commonly asked questions about visiting Norway. Our travel experts – based in the Scandinavia region – have all the latest updates regarding entering and exploring Norway this year.

Everyone who has a visa or is visa-exempt can now enter Norway without additional requirements.

There are no longer any Covid-related entry requirements for visitors to Svalbard.

All COVID health and safety regulations in Norway have been lifted. If you feel unwell, it is still recommended you test yourself and isolate yourself if you are positive.

If you have cancellation insurance with us, your payment is protected.

Please note: Some Norway tours are not eligible for cancellation insurance (including Complete Norway and Lofoten cruise tours). These are tour packages that require a 50% minimum deposit.

You’ll be able to rebook your tour, on one occasion, without any change fees.

Another option is to cancel, for any reason, and receive a partial refund and travel credit. This will be applied as follows:

  • • With more than 72 hours' notice before your arrival, your deposit will be held as a travel credit and the remaining will be refunded to you.
  • • With less than 72 hours’ notice before your scheduled tour arrival date, 50% will be held as travel credit with the remaining 50% refunded to you.

Don’t hesitate to contact your Nordic Visitor Travel Consultant if you feel unwell in the lead up to your trip. They will do everything they can to support you during this time.

If you do not have cancellation insurance with us, normal booking terms apply and we recommend you check with your private travel insurance provider.

Your dedicated travel consultant will inform you of any changes in national guidelines, should they occur.

If restrictions are put in place in Norway, your consultant will make adjustments to your itinerary, where necessary. They may need to amend the route or make some other changes. You would not be charged any additional fees if rearrangements had to be made.

Should this happen, your personal consultant will do everything to make sure you still have a special travel experience.
