The place to learn about Norway's seafaring and boat-making history
Adjacent to the Kon-Tiki Museum in Oslo is The Norwegian Maritime Museum (Norsk Maritimt Museum), which pays tribute to Norwegian seafaring history. The two buildings of the museum house multi-media presentations and model ships along with an exhibition about boat-making. Two famous vessels from Norway’s history, the WWII-era Gibraltar and explorer Roald Amundsen’s Gjøa, are also on display.
