  • Day 1: Welcome to Tromsø

Arrive to Tromsø Airport. After settling in at your hotel, you will have the opportunity to explore the city at your leisure. Nicknamed “Paris of the North” for its charming atmosphere, Tromsø offers an array of notable attractions, including the Polar Museum, the Art Museum of Northern Norway and the Arctic Cathedral.

Spend the next three nights at a hotel in Tromsø.

  • Day 2: Whale Watching in the Fjords

After an early breakfast at your hotel, it’s time to head out for an adventure at sea. During the winter time, the fjords surrounding Tromsø become an attractive feeding ground for whales, especially humpback whales and killer whales. On today’s whale watching tour, you will have a unique opportunity to encounter these amazing animals, as well as sea birds, up close from a boat.

You will be back in the city later in the afternoon, and the rest of the evening will be at your leisure.

  • Day 3: Paris of the North & Northern Lights Hunt

Enjoy the early part of the day as you wish, perhaps with another stroll throughout the city. In the evening it’s time to leave the city lights behind for a chance to see some of the brightest northern lights in the world (if conditions permit). Tonight’s guided tour into the wilderness also gives you a taste of Sami culture as the guide tells tales of local folklore and customs.

*Please keep in mind that the northern lights (aurora borealis) are a natural phenomenon, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

  • Day 4: Departure from Tromsø

It’s time to head home today. We recommend taking a taxi (about a 10 minute ride) to Tromsø Airport in time for your flight to Oslo Gardemoen Airport, from where you will fly onwards to your final destination.

Note: if you do not have enough time between flights, an additional night in Oslo can be added to your package. Contact us for details.

Second time we choose your firm for our holidays and the result is outstanding

I’m back to work after these last two wonderful weeks in Norway. From beginning till end the trip was a real success.

Let me thank you once again for your contribution in the itinerary of the trip. All hotels were really well located -always in the city centre- and most of them where really nice. The Historic hotels were an experience, good suggestion! As for the weather we really cannot complain as we had sun for nearly 7 days without rain! So finally fantastic holidays! Be sure to count on us as customers of Nordic Visitor in the future, it’s the second time we choose your firm for our holidays and the result is outstanding.

Sleep soundly, in the accommodation type of your choice, and wake up ready to enjoy another day of exploration.
