Upon arrival at Tromsø Airport, collect your luggage and make your way to your hotel. We recommend taking the airport bus (Flybussen) or a taxi to your hotel. After settling in at your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the charming city of the “capital of Northern Norway”. There are many restaurants in city centre for an early dinner to start the holiday with a taste of a true arctic meal.

In the evening it’s time to leave the city lights behind on a guided small group bus tour for a chance to enjoy some of the brightest northern lights in the world.*

    Spend the night in Tromsø.

    * Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

    Attractions Attractions Attractions Attractions Attractions

Spend the first half of the day at leisure in Tromsø exploring the many attractions, including the Polar Museum, Arctic Cathedral and the Fjellheisen cable car. If you are looking for more adventure, you can add optional activities in the morning.

In the late afternoon you will be transferred to the wilderness centre, Camp Tamok where you will join a thrilling dog sledding tour. After the tour you will have another opportunity to look for auroras while enjoying a hearty dinner in a lavvu, a traditional Sami tent, at Camp Tamok, before being transferred back to your hotel. *

*Please note that if this activity is not available on your requested date, you will be offered a similar activity as a replacement.

    Spend the night in Tromsø.

Explore Tromsø this morning. We recommend a stroll down Storgata which is the main walking/shopping street of the city. There are numerous shops and cafes to suit all tastes. If you would like to book an optional activity for this morning, your travel consultant can arrange for excursions including reindeer-sledding and snowmobiling.

For the next leg of your journey, board the Hurtigruten ship at 18:30 for a cruise to Kirkenes. Sailing along the fjord-studded coastline, this voyage offers incredible views of Norway’s most famous landscapes along with on-board entertainment, gourmet dining and other convenient amenities. There‘s a good chance of seeing the northern lights this evening, so keep your eyes peeled.

Spend the night on board Hurtigruten.

Today your Hurtigruten cruise makes a stop at the famous North Cape (Nordkapp). Situated at 71° north, this area is known for its beautiful landscapes and wildlife sighting opportunities. You will join a guided shore excursion to the North Cape, encountering magnificent landscapes as we cross the 71st parallel on a journey towards the northernmost point on the European continent. Here you will also have a bit of free time to explore the charming seaside town of Honningsvåg.

Spend another night on board Hurtigruten.

In the morning, the ship arrives at Kirkenes, located about 400 km (240 miles) above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway. With just over 3,000 inhabitants, including the native Sami people, this is remote, scenic slice of Norway. We recommend booking optional activities before checking in at the Snow Hotel. You can choose to go on a dog-sledding tour, snowmobiling adventure, or even a King Crab safari.

In the afternoon, it's time to check in to the one-and-only Snow Hotel. There you will enjoy a drink at the Snow Bar and feast on a 3-course meal by the fireplace at the Høyloftet Restaurant before preparing for an amazing night in your special suite made of snow and ice*!

Spend the night at the Snow Hotel.

*Please note that we offer the option of choosing to stay in a private cabin instead of in an ice room at the Snow Hotel. Click the optional activities for further information.

    Attractions Attractions Optional Extras

Spend the morning warming up in the Snow Hotel’s sauna and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Visit the hotel‘s on-site friendly reindeers and meet some happy Huskies before travelling back to Kirkenes. However, if you are up for some optional activities, you can join tours including dog-sledding, snowmobiling and a king crab safari.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring Kirkenes including the Border Country Museum (Grenselandsmuseet), which tells the story of war and peace along the border, or the Andersgrotta Cave, a vast underground bunker that sheltered the town's residents during WWII.

    Spend the night in Kirkenes

We don’t like to brag, so we’ll let our happy customers do it for us.

Would definitely recommend to others

After doing a lot of searching and reading online through various tour companies this was by far the most complete with the most combination of activities that I wanted. Normally, I book everything on my own to try and save money where I can, but having the logistics and bookings handled by someone else was a big relief given such a huge schedule and amount of ground to be covered. Communication was very good, all questions answered and I was taken care of very well.  Tried my hand at the photo of the month contest offered and was lucky enough to win it. Very cool experience and very happy with everything. Would definitely recommend to others and be ready to book more adventures for myself when the time comes. Thank you!

I think we have fallen in love with Norway!

Dear Helena, We are now back home in England. I just wanted to say thank you from me and Rosie for organising our holiday so efficiently. We had the most wonderful time and we were quite sad to leave! I think we have fallen in love with Norway! All the hotels and excursions were really good and we loved the snowmobile and dog sledding. The Snow Hotel was amazing. The Trollfjord trip was incredible also. And we saw the northern lights 3 times! This was quite possibly the best holiday we gave ever had. So thanks once again, it was a pleasure to be looked after so well by you.

Thanks for arranging!

Fantastic experience for a family of 4 - the girls enjoyed it very much.  The weather was great and we saw so many amazing things including the Northern lights :) We all loved it - thanks for arranging!

Delight to work with!
