Day 1: Arrival/Oslo
Arrival at Gardermoen Airport; meet-and-greet, followed by transfer to your accommodation in the heart of Oslo. If you arrive early, we recommend you join one of the guided bus tours (not included in the price), which will take you to many of Oslo’s greatest highlights, including the Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Ski Museum, the Viking Ship Museum, the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Royal Palace, the Polar ship “Fram,” Akershus Fortress and central Oslo. In the afternoon, try out the ice-skating in the city center and enjoy one of Oslo’s best gourmet restaurants. Spend the night in central Oslo.

Day 2: Charming Tromsø and Fascinating Sámi Culture
After an early breakfast, our driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to Gardermoen Airport. From there you will take a flight 400 km north over the Arctic Circle and to the winter world of Tromsø. After settling in at your hotel, you will have some time to explore the city with its lively café culture, shops, bars, restaurants and plenty of places of interest. In the evening, you’ll be picked up at your hotel for a visit to Tromsø Friluftsenter, where you’ll experience the Sámi culture at Kvaløya Island and, with some luck, the amazing Northern Lights. Here you will be told about the Sámi culture and their arctic farming. You will then be taken on a reindeer ride, followed by a traditional Sámi dinner. When you arrive back at Tromsø, you can keep the fun going and try out the unique Arctic nightlife, as Tromsø has plenty of thriving nightspots and is famous for having more pubs per capita than any other Norwegian town. Stay the night in Tromsø.

Day 3: Dog-sledding in the Arctic Wilderness
Today you’ll be picked up at your hotel and taken to Tromsø Villmarkssenter (30-minute drive). At Tromsø Villmarkssenter, we will take you on a thrilling dogsled ride across the Arctic wilderness. You will be provided with warm clothes and footwear and then you’ll have the option of driving your own sled, or enjoying the beautiful nature comfortably wrapped in reindeer fur on one of our guide’s sleds. After the tour, a traditional Sámi meal will be served in a Sámi lavvu tent. Here you will be told more about our dogs and Europe’s longest dogsled race, Finnmarksløpet. In the late evening, you’ll start the next stage of the journey as you start the Hurtigruten, the Norwegian Coastal Voyage. Overnight onboard and with luck, you will have plenty of opportunities to see the amazing Aurora Borealis dancing over the deck of the ship.

Day 4: The Amazing Lofoten
Enjoy the magnificent scenery that unfolds as you cruise south among the narrow channels and myriad islands of the Vesteralen archipelago and their far-flung settlements, such as Risoyhamn, Sortland and Stokmarknes. Arrive in the late afternoon at the charming town of Svolvær, where you will stay the night in converted fishermen’s cottages.

Day 5: Whale-Watching at 68° North 
Today we’ll take you on a search for the Orca and sea eagles. After an introductory morning lecture, you will head into Vestfjord on a 5-hour tour via a fast and stable boat that can take 40 people. An insulated suit will keep you protected against the elements and there are upper and lower cabins with seating where you can warm up anytime. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing in Svolvær at your own leisure. Spend the night in Svolvær.

Day 6: Departure
From Svolvær Airport, fly to Bodø and on to Gardermoen Airport in Oslo for your afternoon onward flight.
