You will have plenty of time to explore these, as well as hidden gems off the beaten track, all under the reliable care of our experienced guide. You’ll see breathtaking fjords, thunderous waterfalls, stunning glaciers, lively cities and fertile farmlands - all on one exotic tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: The Capital of Norway
Arrival at Gardermoen Airport, where you’ll be met by your private chauffeur, who will transfer you to your luxury accommodation, situated in the heart of Oslo City. After settling into the hotel, you’ll be introduced to the city by our professional guide, who will take you on an excursion to unusual and original places, where you can see, feel and taste what makes Oslo tick. Stay the night in a suite at the luxury Hotel Continental or the Grand Hotel.

Day 2: Enchanting Mountain Villages
After a grand breakfast at your hotel, our guide will pick you up at the hotel to head out from the capital to Lillehammer, the host town of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Here you will visit the Maihaugen open-air museum, the Olympic Museum and/or the Lysgårdsbakken Olympic Arena. From Lillehammer, you’ll head on to Vinstra, and then finally to Lom, a lovely town situated in the Jotunheimen area. In Lom, you will find one of the few remaining stave churches in Norway and a geological museum that is well worth visiting. Stay at the distinctive Hotel Røisheim or Fossheim.

Day 3: Majestic Mountains and Breathtaking Fjords
After breakfast, you’ll experience majestic mountains and breathtaking fjord scenery as you head on to Geirangerfjord. The fjord is renowned for its beauty and unforgettable views. When you see the snow-covered peaks of the mountains, wild waterfalls and blue waters, you might think you’re in a fairy tale. At Geiranger, you’ll board a ferry to cross Geirangerfjord, to the picturesque village of Hellesylt. The ferry will pass magnificent and impressive waterfalls, such as the Seven Sisters and the Bridal Veil. Geirangerfjord is certainly one of nature’s masterpieces. From Hellesylt, you will head on to Øye, where you’ll stay at the unique Hotel Union Øye for two nights.

Day 4: Open Day for Optional Activities

Today you can choose from several sightseeing options, or you can just relax in Øye and enjoy the clean mountain air. One of the options is to visit the fishing and ferry town of Ålesund. The town was rebuilt in 1904 after a terrible fire, and is therefore distinctively different from any other Norwegian town, with its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture. The myriad of turrets, spires and gorgeous ornamentation give the town its distinctive character, which is like something out of a fairy tale. Stay at Hotel Union Øye.

Day 5: Great Glacier and Grand Fjords
From Øye, the journey continues as you head to Jostedalsbreen National Park to explore Jostedal Glacier, “mainland Europe’s largest icecap”, and visit the Norwegian glacier museum. Other highlights include Loen, the Fjærland road and Sognefjorden, “Europe’s longest fjord”, before reaching our final destination of the day, Solvorn. In Solvorn, you’ll be staying at the beautiful Walaker Hotel by Lustrafjorden.

Day 6: The Amazing Flåm
The day will start by taking a ferry over Sognefjorden to Lærdal on your way to Flåm. In Flåm you’ll see one of the wonders of early 20th century engineering, the Flåm Railway. You’ll stop here to enjoy the amazing train ride between Flåm and Myrdal, then continue to Norway’s adventure capital, Voss. In Voss, you can try out one of the many thrilling activities the town and its hinterland have to offer. Your final destination of the day is the charming capital of the fjords, Bergen. Stay in a suite at a luxury hotel in Bergen.

Day 7: Bergen’s Life and Culture
Today your guide will show you all the best Bergen has to offer. Bergen is a wonderful city, full of life and culture. In this must-visit city, you’ll find Bryggen, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site; exceptional old houses; a vibrant fish and flower market; cable cars offering stunning views; great museums; dynamic culture, and more. Stay in a suite at a luxury hotel in Bergen.

Day 8: Glacier View from Breathtaking Fjord
Today you’ll start the day by driving from Bergen to Kvanndal, to board a ferry that will take you over the beautiful Hardangerfjord to Kinsarvik. From Kinsarvik, the drive takes you through the dramatic, narrow Måbødalen Valley, along Eidfjord, and on to the impressive waterfall, Vøringfossen. You will then pass one of Norway’s biggest national parks, Hardangervidda, before arriving in the charming mountain village of Geilo. End the day by visiting the spa at the Dr. Holmes Hotel, where you’ll enjoy a full massage. Stay the night at the Dr. Holmes Hotel.

Day 9: Norway’s Nutshell Road

Today you’ll close the circle by heading back to the capital, Oslo. The drive to Oslo takes you through beautiful, forested dales and plateaus, passing delightful ski centers. Stay the night in a suite at the luxury Hotel Continental or the Grand Hotel.

Day 10: Departure
Your chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Gardermoen Airport. If your flight is in the afternoon, you’ll have time for some last-minute shopping, or a visit to one of Oslo’s many museums, or just to relax at a café after an enjoyable luxury holiday.
