Day 1: Arrival Oslo
Arrive to Gardermoen Airport in Oslo. For an easy and comfortable way to get to your hotel in central Oslo, we are happy to arrange a private transfer for you (optional; see details here).

If you arrive early, we suggest buying an Oslo Pass for free travel on all public transit along with free admission to over 30 museums and attractions plus special offers on entertainment, restaurants, shops and more. The pass can be purchased at tourist information centres or at most hotels and major attractions in the city. Spend the night at a hotel in central Oslo.

Day 2: Over the Roof of Norway
Get an early start and head to Oslo Central Station to board the Bergensbanen train, which takes you over the "mountainous rooftop" of Norway and through the the charming villages of Gol and Geilo on your way to Bergen. It's no surprise this railway has been voted one of the 20 best in the world! In Myrdal, switch trains for the Flåm Railway, an incredible 20-km ride with a difference in altitude of 900 meters, taking you down to the beautiful village of Flåm. “Flåm” means “little place between steep mountains”, and has been one of Norway’s most popular fjord destinations since the 1800s. After this full day of travel, you can look forward to a satisfying dinner at your hotel in Flåm  (included in package price).

Day 3: The Long, Deep Sognefjord
Enjoy the first half of the day in Flåm. Take advantage of your free admission to the Flåm Railway Documentation Centre, located right beside Flåm Station, and learn about the construction of the world’s steepest railway line. At 3:30 p.m., it's time to board the express boat for your amazing fjord experience, starting with the tall, impressive mountains along the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of Sognefjord, and views of teeming, varied bird life out towards the sea. The Sognefjord is Norway’s deepest (1,309 m) and longest (204 km) fjord. Arrival in Bergen, your destination for the night, is scheduled for 8:40 p.m. 

Day 4: The Capital of the Fjords
Spend the first half of your day in Bergen as you wish. Despite being an international city, Bergen has retained the atmosphere and charm of a small town, and your accommodation in the city centre makes an excellent starting point for visiting the essential attractions. Here you’ll find Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with well preserved old houses, the vibrant fish and flower market, the Fløibanen funicular with great views, great museums and more. In the afternoon, it's time to make your way to the central station to board the train that will take you comfortably back to Oslo, where you’ll spend the night after your late evening arrival.

Day 5: Departure Day
For transportation to Gardermoen Airport, we are happy to arrange a private transfer for you (optional; see details here). If your flight is in the afternoon, you have a bit of time for some last-minute shopping, a visit to a museum or a relaxing long coffee break at a café after this enjoyable holiday.
