Day 1: The Capital of Norway
Arrive to Gardermoen Airport in Oslo. For transportation to your accommodation in central Oslo, we recommend the Flytoget airport express train, which departs every 10 minutes.

If you arrive early, we suggest buying an Oslo Pass for free travel on all public transit along with free admission to over 30 museums and attractions plus special offers on entertainment, restaurants, shops and more. The pass can be purchased at tourist information centres or at most hotels and major attractions in the city. Spend the night at a hotel in central Oslo.

Day 2: Norway’s Nutshell Road
In the morning, collect your rental car in Oslo and start your journey through the Hallingdal Valley on your way to Geilo, a charming mountain village. On this scenic drive, you will travel past steep ski hills, through beautiful forests and over plateaus with great views. Spend the night at a hotel in Geilo. Driving distance approx. 240 km / 149 mi.

Day 3: Hardangerfjord at its Best
From Geilo, you will drive along the Hardangervidda National Park to the inner parts of the beautiful Hardangerfjord, with its spectacular views, on the way to Osøyro. You will pass the first glacier on your tour, Hardanger Jøkulen, and visit the impressive waterfall, Vøringfossen —the highest in Norway, with a cascade of 182 metres. From Vøringfossen, you will continue through the dramatic and narrow Måbødalen valley, along Eidfjord, and end the day in Bergen. Spend the night at a hotel in Bergen. Driving distance approx. 261 km / 162 mi. 

Day 4: City of Wonders
Spend the day in Bergen. Bergen is a wonderful city, full of life and culture. In this “must-visit” city, you will find Bryggen, listed by Unesco as a World Heritage site; exceptional old houses; a vibrant fish and flower market; cable cars offering stunning views; great museums; dynamic culture, and more. Spend the night at a hotel in Bergen. 

Day 5: Adventures in and Around Deep Fjords
The day will start by heading to Norway’s adventure capital, Voss. In Voss, you can try out one of the many thrilling activities that the town and its hinterland have to offer. Another option would be to visit the beautiful Aurlandsfjorden to experience the truly enjoyable train ride between Flåm and Myrdal. Your journey will continue as you head on to the bottom of Sognefjorden—Norway’s longest and deepest fjord—taking in highlights such as the towns of Stalheim and Aurland. Spend the night at a hotel in the Lærdal area. Driving distance approx. 203 km / 126 mi.

Day 6: From Dale to Dale
Start the day by visiting the Borgund stave church, one of the best-preserved stave churches in Norway. From Lærdal, the journey continues as you head toward Oslo, driving from dale to dale and passing charming countryside villages. Spend the night at a hotel in central Oslo. Driving distance approx. 297 km  / 185 mi.

Day 7: Departure
For transportation to Gardermoen Airport, we recommend taking the Flytoget airport express train from Oslo Central Station. If your flight is in the afternoon, you have more opportunity to do some last-minute shopping, visit one of Oslo’s many museums or just relax at a café after this enjoyable holiday.
